About Munity

Founded in 2023, we are a democratically-led, worker’s co-operative video game studio based in New York City.

Our goal is to ensure each of our members has an equal voice in the business in the hopes of creating a sustainable and cooperative work environment.

HOW WE WORK

The focus at Munity is making games that all of our members will enjoy developing. Each member has the opportunity to become the lead on a project and learn new skills in the process.

While we have department leads on each project, the members of Munity are encouraged, and have the right, to be part of the decision making process. It’s our aim to ensure every member is heard and has a stake in the work they do.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • At every level, members of Munity will have input. While ultimately some decisions may be made by department leads, the majority of decisions that affect development and new processes will be made through voting and discussions. Even in instances where department leads must make a decision, they are responsible for taking into consideration input from their team.

    By doing this, we hope that our members will be supported and grow as decision makers and leaders in their own right.

    New tools will pop-up and we’ll make decisions on what we develop as time goes on.
